Biography

Jenn Sabuda MSN, RN, FNP-BC is an experienced nurse practitioner with a diverse background in oncology, cardiology, and nursing education. After completing undergrad nursing studies at Loyola University, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from Valparaiso University.

Jenn’s oncology experience began during her clinical rotation at the University of Chicago Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and continued during her time working at UChicago Medicine Hospitals Oncology/Telemetry Unit where she provided specialized care to oncology patients who required intensive cardiac monitoring, administered chemotherapy, and provided post-surgical care. She also supported multidisciplinary teams in managing complex cases involving both cancer and cardiac conditions, contributing to the holistic care of patients facing dual challenges. Jenn went on to care for patients as a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology for several years before returning to Oncology.

In addition to her clinical work, Jenn has a passion for education, having served as a clinical instructor for undergraduate nursing students at both Valparaiso and Loyola Universities. She excels in helping students develop critical thinking and hands-on skills, ensuring patient safety while fostering a deep understanding of medical concepts.

With a strong commitment to patient-centered care, Jenn is known for her ability to explain complex medical information in understandable terms, empowering patients and families to make informed decisions. Her background in both oncology and cardiology, combined with her teaching experience, makes her a well-rounded healthcare professional dedicated to advancing patient care and nursing education.

While her workdays are spent inside the office and at the hospital, in her free time, Jenn enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors gardening, hiking, & travelling.
